Hey guys how’s it going? Weekly Check-in Time where I honestly just took shots and hoped for the best.
Because of this, I watched two TV shows, an anime movie and anime show. I also read eight volumes of manga. Onto the media!
TV Show
The Practice
OOF!!! Addicting and Dark and Dramatic all at once!!! Because of that I broke my promise of taking a break and it went nuts. I definitely have to take a break now. These past episodes had me emotional. Because of these points, I have to give this a 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣🍣🍣🍣.
ER
These episodes of ER themed around handling faith and when to give it a second chance. There’s also a “gay for you” storyline along with introducing more discussion with competency tests when it comes to post-operations after brain surgery. Because of these points, I have to give this a 4-4.5 out of 5 stars or 5 sushi 🍣🍣🍣🍣🍣.
Anime
Birdie Wing
This anime was recommended to me by Scott from Mechanical Anime Reviews and it is definitely one that not everyone is going to like but I was very intrigued by all that I have watched. The golfing style is very interesting, the world building is also interesting, and the characters are mostly conniving. I want to know more about the background with the world but also more about the characters as well. Overall, I am excited to continue on with this series. 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣🍣🍣🍣.

Kuroko’s Basketball: The Last Game
This movie is one that is a good ending to a franchise along with some additional humor and character development. I think it’s one, though, that if you want to save it for later(not binge it through with the rest of the series if that makes any sense at all). It’s not something you’ll miss a lot of huge news except for one piece that you can look up spoilers for. Overall though, I’ve watched better but it’s still enjoyable if you like basketball. 3.5 out of 5 stars or 3 sushi 🍣 🍣🍣.

Takane and Hana Vol 14 and 15
This series continues to make me smile and is one I can reread again and again. I know the age gap may not be for everyone, however, the comedy is one that makes up for the romance (plus vol 14 was the first time PDA actually happened in this series). I love the banter between the main characters but also the side ones as well. I think my only issue with these two volumes in particular was the speech bubbles were in a difficult order that for me late at night made the story difficult to follow at times. Because of these points, I have to give this a 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣🍣🍣🍣.
My Hero Academia Team-up Missions Vol 2
This series is one I like to read if I want more from the My Hero Academia characters but don’t want to read the original story (at least until it’s completely over). This particular volume I liked a little better than the first one because it showed more character development among other characters than the main ones and characters that were represented unexpectedly (except I missed Uravity 😕). Other than that, though, it was a lot of fun to read, and I recommend it if you want more UA shenanigans. 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣 🍣🍣🍣.
Yona of the Dawn Vol 22-24
Honestly this series continues to be intriguing and politically charged. This was a start of another arc, and I truly loved every second of it. The romance is continuing to be amazing and the humor is lovely. I just wished I could continue on reading it. Because of these points, I have to give this a 5 out of 5 stars or 5 sushi 🍣🍣🍣🍣🍣.
One Piece Vols 93-94
This is to me where the anime English Dub left off and then some and I think in this case it has to be Dub or manga for me because of all the intensity of multiple conversations going on at once. I also had some difficulty with the art only because of the lack of color (something I will have to get used to). Overall, though, I am still continuing to enjoy the series. Because of these points, I have to give this 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣 🍣🍣🍣.
