Hey guys how’s it going? Weekly Check-in time where I consumed media all over the place.
Because of this I watched a TV show, Movie, and four Animes. I also read five volumes of Manga. Onto the media!!!!

Creed
The time that I watched the original Rocky movies, I knew they were a classic and took them seriously but at the same time, they showed their age in the worse way. With Creed, they took the classic feels of Rocky, and they amplified the Black culture along with the modern looks of boxing and electronic music. I loved the deaf representation to an extent (it was a tad rude to me for the main character to just randomly ask about it). I also appreciated the transition from Rocky to Creed to show the new generation. Overall, it is an intriguing movie, and I would recommend it if you wanted a modern new twist on Rocky. 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣🍣🍣🍣.
Anime Rewatch
Kono Oto Tomare
I will be honest, I have wanted to rewatch this anime for weeks because of the openings and endings. However, rewatching it again this time, I still wanted more from it especially at the end of the series. I think I just want the manga or another season…. but I love the main characters, the music, and the friendship feels. Because of these points, I have to give this a 4-4.5 out of 5 stars or 5 sushi 🍣🍣🍣🍣🍣. Need this series physically as well lol 😆.
New Anime
The Way of the House Husband
This anime is definitely one if you want a gateway for a new anime watcher to start with. It’s straightforward, fun and episodic enough to make a mindless television watching experience. My only issue is that it’s more choppy than usual anime. Because of these points, I have to give this a 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣 🍣🍣🍣.
Sasaki and Miyano
Hmmmmmmmmmm well this was not what I was expecting but I was in my feels and was laughing the entire time!! The Dub was also better than I thought it would be too. The BL fan bits were fun, and the slowburn friendship to relationship was great too. I think my only issue was some of the after credit scenes were more important than I thought they would be. Because of these points, I have to give this a 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣 🍣🍣🍣
One Piece
Boy I have missed watching this! I enjoyed all the nods to previous seasons, I appreciated the mysteries. However, this chunk that was recently dubbed ended on an intense cliffhanger that I couldn’t stand. Because of these points, I have to give this anime a 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣🍣🍣🍣.
Demon Slayer
With this series, I appreciate what it does as far as giving the viewer/reader the humanity of demons. I also loved the animation that this particular season had especially when it came to the Sound Hashira. Honestly though, I was disappointed with how short the season/arc was!!! It needed more oomph and more mystery to me. Just seemed like it was a movie broken up into 11-part bits. Because of that, I think I need to just wait and binge the rest of the series when I am ready to. Overall, though if you like the series this is a great installment. Because of these points, I have to give this arc of the anime 3.5 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣🍣🍣🍣.

Fire Country
So this is a show my parents and I have watched from week to week since it started and this week I needed to catch up. I was surprised at how the plot thickens throughout the series and how the characters react. The ending as well is one I was absolutely sure was not going to be the case but you know that’s why I don’t write these things lol 😅. Anyway, overall I am curious to see what comes next and maybe I’ll rewatch it back later on in the year. 4.5 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣 🍣🍣🍣.

Otomen vol 4
This manga series is one I enjoy because of the fluffiness and the variety of feminine topics and characters. My only complaint though is that sometimes the plot/volumes can run together so I can forget what happened in the previous volumes. Overall, though, it is one I can reread again and again if I want a high school slice of life story with a non-annoying male lead. Because of these points, I have to give this a 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣🍣🍣🍣.
Takane and Hana vol 11-13
Man, it’s been a while since I read more of this series…… It continues to make me laugh, cry, and fall in love with all of the characters. Its definitely another one that helps me to feel better and the final confession ooooh I love it! I think my only issue is that I forgot a lot from the previous volumes, and I know this is one I can binge to make myself smile even though it’s an age gap romance. I also appreciated that there are some life lessons involved from both main characters. Because of these points, I have to give this a 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi🍣🍣🍣🍣 due to the fact that I forgot things.
Cheeky Brat
I will be honest; I still enjoy reading this high school sports romance. However, I feel like I will need to binge read this series again in order to love it more. The angst is intriguing. The plot is good but meanders a lot. Overall, though, it’s one I am going to continue to read this series, and I enjoy it very much. Because of these points, I have to give this 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣 🍣🍣🍣.
