Hey guys how’s it going? Weekly Check-in time!! I have to say I think I got back to the media consumption groove.
Because of this, I read three novellas and one volume of manga. I also watched two anime, two movies, and four TV shows. Onto the Media!!!
Novella
Ear Candy
If you are looking for a boss assistant romance and also audiobook narrator and reader romance this novella is for you. There are some smutty moments to note but!! I loved this the most for the worshipping/making the heroine feeling loved and adored. That was my absolute favorite part. However, I wanted the ending to be flushed out more. Because of these points, I have to give this a 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣 🍣🍣🍣.
Smash and Grab
This is a novella series that I found from Smart Women Read Romance and I had a ton of fun reading this. I loved the characters and their dynamic, the plot is intriguing plus the facts about dinosaurs was a lot of fun as well for me personally. The only note that I want to give for people is that there are some moments that has some crude humor. Other than that though, I loved this and I am truly excited to read more from this series. 4-4.5 out of 5 stars or 5 sushi 🍣 🍣 🍣🍣🍣.
Getting Schooled
Now this is a story I have seen all over romance social media and disability representation lists. I will be honest at the start of reading this, I was not sure how the story was going to go (maybe because I have read a ton of sexy novellas lately who knows). However, once I continued on, I really enjoyed it I enjoyed how realistic it felt, I loved how it was written like it could be a movie with an all-African American cast. I could definitely also appreciate the mental as well as the physical health representation (although for me personally I wanted an inch more about the physical). Overall, though, I really enjoyed this and am definitely also adding this author to my list. Because of these points, I have to give this a 4.5 out of 5 stars or 5 sushi 🍣🍣🍣🍣🍣.

My Idol Sits the Next Desk Over
This manga was not what I was expecting in the best way. I thought it would be more of a romance story. However, it is a beautiful friendship story that discusses when a fan meets their idol and how they can positively as well as negatively react. I do warn you there is a ton of girl hate at the start of this manga. Other than that, though, I would highly recommend this to teens to help people learn about what being a fan or a proper photographer 4-4.5 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣🍣🍣🍣.
Anime
Devil is a Part Timer
This anime is getting better and better when it comes to its humor and character development. But, its one of those I can put on and binge all day. Because of these points, I have to give this a 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣 🍣 🍣🍣.
Edens Zero
So, as someone who is a diehard and I mean a diehard fan of Fairy Tail, I was unsure how I would react to Edens Zero. But I have to say it exceeds my expectations and it’s a fascinating story but its no fairy tail. (if you want a more in-depth comparison of the two let me know) Because of these points, I have to give this a 4-4.5 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣🍣🍣🍣

Honestly, this movie wasn’t what I expected. I was very unfulfilled when it came to the story. However, I was very intrigued when it came to learning how creating the first variety show worked. Because of these points, I have to give this a 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣🍣🍣🍣.
Love Accidently
If you are looking for a modern short version of an office rom com this is certainly it. I did though, have some complaints. The story was moments very convoluted, it felt like the guy was the only one doing any work, it is definitely dating itself to the extreme and it was very obviously a low budget movie even worse than Hallmark. It is not too cringey though and I and my family were able to watch it all the way through. I would recommend it to someone who wants to watch something short and sweet but don’t need to be fully invested. Because of these points, I have to give this a 3 out of 5 stars or 3 sushi 🍣🍣🍣.
TV Show
The Boys
This show totally is not what I expected at all. Its essentially everything that could go wrong in a superhero show does go wrong in it and all of the trigger warnings and all of the content warnings as well need to be said here. However, I am intrigued by it. I binged most of season 1 and about half of season two in two days. Its one of those that if it is considered a train wreck that I can’t stop watching (like in the dark) but worse!!! Because of these points, I have to give this a 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣🍣🍣🍣 due to the profanity.

OOF! There is a ton of drama heating up on this show, but not what you would expect. I think though now, it is changing into what the modern medical shows are around this point. However, it is accomplishing it better??? At least to me. Overall, though, I am excited to see what the next seasons bring. 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣🍣🍣🍣.
The Good Witch
My family finally finished this series (after my dad surprisingly binged most of it on his own). And overall, I think it’s good if you are wanting a spooky cozy mystery version of Gilmore Girls to binge. However, it’s not one I would recommend you binge entirely all at once. Because of these points, I have to give it a 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣🍣🍣🍣. It is definitely one I would like to revisit when I have time in the future.
The Outlaws
This show is definitely a mix of orange is the new black but with a more British humor twist. I appreciate the all walks of life aspect, I also enjoy the humor but its definitely one I have to be in the mood for before I watch more. Christopher Walken though, is the only character though that seems to stick out like a sore thumb. Because of these points, I have to give this show a 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣🍣🍣🍣.
