Hey guys how’s it going?? Weekly Check-in time!!! I went back to work these last couple of weeks, plus had a stomach virus i was recovering from.
Because of that, I watched pretty much everything with two movies, one anime and two TV shows. Onto the media!!!
Movie
Ron’s Gone Wrong
This movie was one I was not sure whether this was going to be fully innocent story and not necessarily something that adults would find entertaining. However! I do have to say that this movie was perfect for the whole family. It has children’s humor, it has adult humor, and it shows a ton of lessons when it comes to the friendship and social media aspects of teen life. Overall, I am really glad I watched this movie and I highly recommend it. 4.5 out of 5 stars or 5 sushi 🍣🍣🍣🍣🍣.
The Tender Bar
My dad truly thought that this was going to be a family movie aka it would appeal to almost everyone in the house… However, I can definitely tell you if you are not a fan of pretension and entitlement as well as bad language every other word, do not and I repeat do not watch this. However, the soundtrack slaps so if you want anything from it, get that. I just truly couldn’t handle the plot and main character especially when he got older. Probably because I just couldn’t relate, I am not sure. Just if you want to try it do so but I personally didn’t like it. Because of these points, I have to give it a 3 out of 5 stars or 3 sushi 🍣🍣🍣.
Anime
One Piece
This Anime! This Anime! Its amazing how many intriguing the characters are and how interconnected they can be. I truly enjoy it plus the plot just keeps getting deeper and deeper. There are also a lot of different political craziness and secrets are at play that make things at time awesome but also difficult to understand. Because of this, I am unfortunately taking a pause on it for now because I think I need to watch something else. I do though recommend it if you need something interesting, episodic, and with a variety of fantastic characters. Because of these points, I have to give this a 5 out of 5 stars or 5 sushi 🍣 🍣 🍣🍣🍣.

Friday Night Lights
This show this week got deeper but at the same time more focused on certain characters that I appreciate but I wish there was more of others…. Because of these points, I have to give this show a 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣 🍣 🍣🍣.
In the Dark
Oh my gosh!! This second half of the season was so suspenseful and the plot that happened was crazy! Anyway though, you know how last time I talked about this, I was applauding the blind representation? I still love it for the main character, but there’s another character that showed up in this season who is losing their sight over time…. they are very inconsistent when it comes to the representation because there are times where it seems they can’t get out of a room because they can’t see but that same time, they could see a minute detail of what someone looks like in a photobooth picture???? Tbat seems suspicious to me…. but of course there are all ranges of blindness that only an expert in the field would know so anyway. I would highly recommend this show if you are one who loves thriller shows that have the holes they’re digging deeper and deeper but also blind representation. Because of these points I have to give it a 3.5 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣 🍣 🍣🍣.
The Week Ahead
Oh Gosh for the week ahead I honestly have no idea! I’ve honestly been in a slump these last couple of months and other than one piece everything I’ve watched someone else has picked out. Reading, I don’t know if it’s my high expectations or what or I just have too many choices. I know I know I should have a whole post dedicated to this but anyway. What about you guys?
