Weekly Check-in 12/04/2021-12/11/2021

Hey guys how’s it going Weekly Check-in time! I have been very busy preparing for the holiday season!

Because of that I have only read two volumes of manga and watched a Hallmark Christmas Movie, a TV Show, an anime, and a Concert Special. Onto the media!

Concert Special

Lindsey Stirling’s Home for the Holidays

This was something I wasn’t sure I was going to post about or not but, since my family fell in love with Lindsey Stirling during the summer, we went to this. (Awful movie theater experience). However, we loved this special and the behind the scenes afterward. Because of these points, I have to give this a 5 out of 5 stars or 5 sushi 🍣🍣🍣🍣🍣.

Movie Rewatch

The Flight Before Christmas

This was a personal rewatch for me (that my family didn’t remember but you know it happens). It is one that is a unique movie because first, it has two people who were in long term relationships literally prior to the movie, and second, it was a movie that talked about being genuine about who you are and following your own dreams with having a familial Christmas. Its one of those that although it is predictable, it’s not stupid unless you count a bunch of magical coincidences. There’s also a lot of funny moments and is timeless. Because of these points, I have to give this movie a 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣🍣🍣🍣

TV Show

In the Dark

This show is one that my dad picked out and I was invested because of the guide dog. This is essentially an overarching story about a blind woman who is trying to solve a mystery about her dear friend. I appreciated the realism with blindness aspect plus how guide dog training schools’ work. I would though, not recommend this for everyone because there are some raunchy humor points and some verbal stabs that may make people uncomfortable. Overall though, it is a very interesting show and I am excited to continue on. Because of these points, I have to give this a 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣🍣🍣🍣.

Anime

One Piece

Oh, this anime! There were some intense episodes (not safe for children especially). But I am truly happy to continue on! Because of these points, I have to give this a 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣🍣🍣🍣.

Manga

Series Continuations

A Condition Called Love

This volume hmmmm… I am not exactly sure how I feel about it to be honest. I mean there’s nothing wrong with the subject matter or most of the characters, but I think there needs to be more character development when it comes to the main male character. This is just because he seems like he’s borderline possessive and for being a first relationship for the leading lady, it may not be best. Personally, I would like to find out how he became that way, so I am hoping for that. Otherwise though, I enjoy the artstyle and the rest of plot. because of these points, I have to give it a 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣🍣🍣🍣.

Whisper Me A Love Song

This volume was almost just as adorable as the first one, however, there was a lot of predictable angst especially with the reveal at the end. I appreciated the expansion of characters and activities as well but the music number scenes were not as well done as other series accomplish. Overall, it’s a good girls love series especially if this is your first one and because of these points, I have to give this volume a 3.5 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣🍣🍣🍣.

The Week Ahead

This week will be probably filled with Holiday fun!! That’s just my plan but who knows! What about you guys? What did you read or watch! Let’s talk about it!
