Hey guys how’s it going? Weekly Check-In time! This week was a bit of a mess

But that didn’t stop me from watching three movies and one anime but also read two volumes of manga. Onto the media!
Movie
The Founder

This movie was something that I was curious about because McDonalds is a part of my childhood. I didn’t realize how sad it was how cruel this biographical story was. Overall though it was fascinating and I learned a lot, It is something that I probably will not watch again. 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi π£π£π£π£.
Spirited Away

This is a movie that I honestly was afraid to watch because of some of the character designs. However, I think it was good for me personally to watch some anime that has spirits or demons before watching this (in particular Kakuriyo bed and breakfast for spirits) because it gives the same feels. The English dub for this was awesome (Megara from Hercules voice was a side character and I was amazed). I also felt that this Studio Ghibli film compared to the others I have watched had a lot more plot involved which I also enjoyed too. Overall, this was a good entertaining movie and I am glad I was able to watch this with my friends. Because of these points, I have to give this a 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi π£π£π£π£.
Captain Fantastic

This movie is one I wouldn’t recommend for everyone because it shows some views that are not necessarily ones that people will agree with along with there is a lot of kids cursing etc. There is also some brainwashing etc. along with some triggers of suicide, bipolar disorder, religion bashing, etc. As far as the acting it was amazing on all fronts and it was definitely one that was profound (although again its not one I recommend to anyone). And fascinating because of these points, I have to give this movie a 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi π£π£π£π£.
Anime
Harukana Recieve

This anime was very wholesome for a sports story with some dark moments as well. It also teaches you alot about beach volleyball and what it takes to truly train for it. Overall though, my only issue I had for this anime were there were some moments where they showed too much bikini bottom (part of it is for the game thats true but there were still some unnecessary moments) because of these points, I have to give this anime a 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi π£ π£ π£π£. You can watch this on Funimation.
Manga
Series Starters
She’s my Knight

This was definitely an adorable manga. I love all of the characters that were presented and the antics that they get into. I can also imagine this being an anime also. My only issue is that there was only some parts that didn’t really feel like a cohesive plot. It only felt like a cohesive plot towards the end of the story. Overall though, I would love to see how this story continues on. Because of these points, I have to give this a 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi π£π£π£π£.
Series Continuations
Complex Age

I am still enjoying this series very much. This volume discusses in particular the acceptance of a hobby for people around the main character. This took a direction I wasn’t sure how I was going to react to it. However, it felt very realistic and very important for me to read especially as an adult who has a hobby that may not be accepted by everyone. Overall, though the end just felt so unsatisfying I need the next volumes. Because of these points, I have to give this a 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi π£ π£π£π£.
The Week Ahead
The week ahead is probably going to be a lot more anime watching than movie watching but I would like to read some more too. We will see what happens. What about you guys? What did you watch or read this week? Let’s talk about it in the comments.
