Hey guys how’s it going? This week was the week of Christmas!!!

Because of this, I was able to read and watch a lot with my family but also by myself. I read 5 volumes of manga and 3 novels as well as watched 3 Christmas themed movies and two tv shows one being an anime rewatch. Onto the media!!!
Manga
Series Starters
A Sign of Affection

So this manga has truly beautiful art. Theres also a lot of education when it comes to other languages other than Japanese and Sign Language which i appreciated.
I also liked that it seemed like a slice of life college romance which is awesome. However, the way this volume ended, sigh if there was just the one volume I would be very mad, but since I know there’s at least a couple more, I am curious to see how the series moves forward. Because of these points, I have to give this a 3-3.5 out of 5 stars or 3 sushi 🍣 🍣🍣.
Abe-kun’s Got Me Now!

My goodness this manga is totally perfect for someone who loves the big burly guy falling in love with a small girl who likes a little bit of aggression.
Its also a fantastic opportunity to see multiple big burly guys if you want to as well. My only issue other than where it ended (this was like right in the middle of a sexy scene ahhh) was that there was a character that was really wimpy…………. 🙃………. too much of a foil between the big burly guy and the small girl. Also if you’re not a fan of a little aggression in your manga you may not like this. Because of these points, I have to give this a 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣 🍣🍣🍣.
Series Continuations
An Incurable Case of Love

I am so glad that I continued this series this week. Although this particular volume felt very short when it comes to content, it builds up the relationship dynamics between the main characters. Because of these points, I have to give this a 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣 🍣🍣🍣.
The Fox’s Kiss

This volume was good but at the same time the second and third volume could have gotten combined and needed more plot. However, I love the characters and need more from this.
I think if you want a quick yokai romance this can work for you again I wish there was more. Because of these points, I have to give this volume a 2.5-3 out of 5 stars or 3 sushi 🍣 🍣🍣.
The Maid at My House

This was a fantastic end to a short little series. If you love an innocent celebrity/maid romance with beautiful art this series is for you. Plus the conflicts in this volume were very realistic. I also feel that this is something that I can reread over and over again when I want something fun as well as funny. Because of these points, I have to give this volume/conclusion to this series a 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣 🍣 🍣🍣.
Novel
Fairy Godmothers INC.

This was very cute. If you enjoy a more light hearted/less complicated Once Upon Time story you would definitely love this.
It’s hilarious, geared towards adults, and comes up with all kinds of different ideas that will most likely be continued in the rest of the series.
Overall though, the only thing that was bothersome to me and I hope it can be fixed in the later books was that the world building is not complete to me (I know its romance so it doesn’t have to but still.) Plus although it was entertaining, everyone took everything that was presented to them very well (can be unrealistic to other readers but I thought it was cute). Because of these points, I have to give this novel a 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣 🍣🍣🍣. This comes out Dec 29th so you should definitely check this out if this book interests you.
A Girl Like Her

This book was not what I expected but in a good way. The romance was very sweet and sexy but at the same time important when it comes to PTSD and verbal abuse. There is autism representation but its more in the background which I appreciated. The only issue I had was that it ended very abruptly. I wanted more from this. Because of these points, I have to give this a 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣 🍣 🍣🍣.
Desperately Seeking Roommate

This romance was so cute in the best way. I would definitely recommend this for first time college romance readers because it gives the feel of college life but at the same time an amazing romance with a happily ever after that was ahhh *chef’s kiss*
All of the characters were awesome (except for the two antagonists but you know; funny, adventurous, cocky, uniquely weird(all my kind of people that I would love to be best friends with). I also appreciated that there was a lot of funny hilarious internal commentary in the book that I know I would do myself that needs to be put in books more. Overall, I really enjoyed my time reading this book and if you want a fantastic roommate/college romance check this out. 4.5 out of 5 stars or 5 sushi 🍣 🍣 🍣🍣🍣.
Movie
Beaus of Holly

This movie stunk! I am sorry it was cute but the plot was very confusing and the characters were very 1 dimensional. Overall though, if you want to check this out, try it but I don’t recommend it. Because of these points I have to give this a 2 out of 5 stars or 2 sushi 🍣 🍣.
Last Christmas

This movie!!! Ahhhhhh it was cute but very sad. If you love George Michael/Wham, comedy, drama, and Scroogelike reform check this out. 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣 🍣 🍣🍣.
Movie Rewatch
The Muppets Christmas Carol

This movie is one we try to watch every year and watching this and reading the Afterlife of Holly Chase last week really solidified my love for the story in general. I also found all of the songs that were in this movie were perfect for uplifting the mood for the holiday season. 5 out of 5 stars or 5 sushi 🍣 🍣🍣🍣🍣.
Anime Rewatch
Chihiyafuru

Of course I have to rewatch my last favorite sports anime that I discovered this year this week and it was very nice watching some of the beginning episodes again learning about the sport plus how some people have different reasons why they want to learn about it etc. I didn’t finish season 1 this week, but I made quite a dent (which side note I know things are delayed because of 2020 but can we have the dubbed version of season 3 please and thank you). I am excited to continue on the rewatch but its going to be slow and steady.
TV Show
New Tricks

My family and I have continued watching this this week with quite a few episodes. Its gotten quite dark and I am very sad to see how its going to continue on. If you love British humor, cop shows, and older people check this show out.
The Week Ahead
The week ahead is going to be the year end so that could make it either not alot happening or lots of things happening so it may make reading and watching things difficult next week. However, I am just going to try and read and watch things in between and hope for the best. What about you guys? What did you read or watch this week?? Lets talk about it.
A Muppet Christmas Carol is one of my favorites!
