Hey guys how’s it going? This week, I watched quite a bit and read a little. I think its because I am having difficulty sitting down and reading things especially with work. However what I watched was really fascinating and fun. In addition, what I did read was a new reading experience on one of my favorite books of all time. I watched a couple of anime, a TV show, a couple of movies, and listened to an audiobook. Onto the media!

Movie
Dave

My family and I watched this movie this week because of the election season plus its my mom’s favorite presidential movie of all time. I can definitely see why she loves it so much. There’s a mystery/conspiracy aspect, there’s a romantic aspect, but also the political aspects of an ordinary guy trying to become the best president in the USA. I think my only issue with it is that sometimes I got confused and some things finished too quickly. Overall though, I would recommend this as well for the election season and if you are interested in it, you should definitely check it out. 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣 🍣🍣🍣.
Hocus Pocus

I will be honest, when I first heard of this movie, I was little and still renting movies from Blockbuster. We rented this and I was frightened of the witches. Never even finished this. But, my sister and I decided to go watch this movie at a social distanced movie theater with some of her friends and it was a lot better for me emotionally. I could understand the adult jokes, one of my sister’s friends laughed at all the parts that were supposed to be laughable that weren’t adult so I was able to relax, plus the story made more sense now that I saw it from start to finish without being afraid. However, there were some plot points that didn’t make sense and some ideas that were just there to move things along. Overall though, I can definitely see why this is a Halloween classic and for me anyway, its a lot more fun watching it with a group of people. Also 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi 🍣 🍣🍣🍣.
Anime
New Series
Gravitation

This week, I started Gravitation. This series is one I’ve heard a lot about especially from AichiYume on YouTube/Amanda.Actually on WordPress. Because of this, I had some expectations but at the same time I was pleasantly surprised.
First, like Amanda has said, the English dub isn’t the best. Its stiff and disjointed at the best of times… But to the story itself, it is very intriguing and surprising how the relationship came to fruition and how it is being maintained. Plus the music is very nice and deep so far. I am curious how this is going to continue but I would like to watch this a little at a time to see how it goes. Thank you for the recommendation Amanda!
Rewatch
Say I love you

To change up from Gravitation, I started to rewatch Say I love you. Its not as “fluffy” as some other high school romance series (in the best way). It presents friendship moral lessons on top of relationship ones with so many different kinds of realistic characters. I also love this dub especially the leads. They all fit together nicely. Highly recommend if you want a school themed romance anime to watch.
TV Show
New Tricks

This is another show I have watched pieces of years ago and then it stopped being shown on TV and now since its on streaming, my family and I are watching it again from the beginning. Its a crime show but it has British humor mixed with old humor so its a more fun crime show than most that I have seen. So if that interests you, check this out!
Reread/Audiobook
Just Listen

This week, because of the music romance recommendations post I wrote last week, I listened to Just Listen on Audio for the first time. I liked it, however, I would have loved if the music was added to the audio to enhance the experience. Anyway, I still love this book. It is a romance, however it truly just starts out as a deep friendship. Plus it presents some moral lessons that are deeply important for high school teens. Still my favorite Sarah Dessen to date. 5 out of 5 stars or 5 sushi 🍣🍣🍣🍣🍣.
The Week Ahead
This week I know I have a lot of media that I haven’t finished. I think that this year its just very difficult to finish things…. I wonder if you guys feel the same way. I think that’s my goal this week is to try and finish what I started. What about you guys? What did you read and watch this week? Let’s talk about it in the comments!
I think I will finish 3 books today! Ha. And I think that will get me to my Goodreads goal!
