Hey guys how’s it going? This weekly Check-in was supposed to be anime/manga based… Sigh, well that happened but it didn’t happen at the same time.

I watched two anime completely; one season and one full series, a fascinating TV show with the family, and one novel. I wished that I read a manga this week but I think that I may be starting to read those when I start working again on my lunch who knows. Well onto the media!!
Anime
Seven Deadly Sins Wrath of the Gods

I have had a roller coaster of emotions when it comes to this series; First season I loved it so much I rewatched it more than once, and the second season was a tad disappointing I think because it felt like there was more we needed to know but we didn’t yet. This season though, we got backstories in droves which solidified why I enjoy this series so much. But why did there have to be a cliffhanger!!! π. That was my one gripe (other than I needed more Ban but its ok I believe there will be more next season). Because of these points, I have to give this anime season a 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi π£ π£π£π£.
Tada Never Falls in Love

Although this was a blind watch, I really enjoyed myself. I liked that the focus was on a photography club and their exploits as well as taking place at a coffee shop.
I also enjoyed the friendships between all of the characters although the romances were very unrequited on all sides except for the main couple so in that sense I felt unsatisfied.
I think my favorite part was that I enjoyed the characters individually because they all had unique personalities and essentials for the best friend group. It was also fascinating that there was an element of a foreigner leading character.
I wished though there was more after the end about what happened after. (Did the leading lady still have to go back home after awhile or not? That kind of logistics)
Overall, I enjoyed this anime and would rewatch it again. Because of certain points and overall entertainment, I have to give this a 3.5 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi π£ π£π£π£.
TV Show
Churchill’s Secret Agents: The New Recruits

I started this show with my family ended up being with my dad in the end because of the subject matter. But it was amazing to watch a show that discussed World War II citizen agency with historic accuracy, intensive training, and psychological experience. You’d think as a normal reality show there would be a set winner or a contest etc. Well it was and it wasn’t (I’ll let you watch it to find out π). Truly though it was a legit social experiment and they pulled out all the stops for it. I think my only issue with this was that the end although the training was intense, was unsatisfactory. This is because historically they really wouldn’t be finished after the training but in this show, it just has some comments about the psychological experience but thats it. Because of these points, I have to give this a solid 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi π£ π£π£π£.
Novel
Molly

This novella was adorable yet deep at the same time. Let me preface that this is a Christian Romance so there are moments related to Christianity + Montessori so if that doesn’t interest you don’t read this.
There’s also some medical terminology and random kernels of knowledge which I enjoyed immensely but its not for you do not read it.
I will warn you there are some trigger warnings: death of a loved one and prejudice towards immigrants.
The overall romance was really cute if you love the nanny and single dad trope(I like it when it’s done right and here it was done right).
I fell in love with the friendship and family aspects of both leading characters and if I continue this series I would love to read more from the other characters.
Overall, this was a nice and quick read in my opinion and I would love to read more from this author. However, I do understand that there are some aspects that people will not like and they can be overwhelming. Because of these points and my personal enjoyment, I have to give this book a 4 out of 5 stars or 4 sushi π£ π£π£π£.
The Week Ahead
I’ll be honest, I have no clue what’s going to happen with the week ahead. I do have a feeling though there may be more watching of things rather than reading things (if i do read, it’ll be more professional things sorry about that in advance…) What about you guys? What did you read/watch this week? Let’s talk about it!
