Reason for starting this blog
Now I have had to answer this for a lot of people not in a bad way just being honest. But they also don’t have the complete story.
For years, ever since I started my bookstagram reviews, I saw that the character limitation on my captions would be like a stab to the heart especially when it came to certain books that I was immensely passionate about. But I was afraid to start a blog because of all of the ones I knew were either really famous or were frustrated with their content. However, a few months ago I enrolled myself in a technical writing class. I did this to improve my writing skills especially when it comes to my field of career. Starting the blog though, I believe has helped me to think more about what I am writing and how. Plus I get to have fun while practicing writing at the same time.
Advice for new bloggers
Write whatever you want not what you think people will read.
It doesn’t matter what topic you write about someone is going to read it. Whether it is about anime, books, k-pop etc. Someone is going to read it who wants to. Plus, you can expand and limit yourself all you want with what you want your blog to be. That’s why Sushirainbow is the way it is- because of my expansion of interests it ebbs and flows.
Do Not Be Discouraged by Viewership
This can also be coordinated with write with what you want. People do not have to read what you want to write. But if only one person reads it that’s a win in itself. If no one reads it, that’s okay too do not be discouraged by it. The case is that if people want to check out later they can (it may take weeks not immediately but that’s okay).
Bonus Tip: If you get overwhelmed, ask for help.
Writing or posting any social media can be overwhelming for anyone and if you have a ton of people you want to reach it can be difficult. In my case, I had a person on the bookstagram community that I know and love who wanted to try blogging and with things not posting as fast as I want, I needed help. Plus she brings a teacher perspective; something I can kind of show you guys but not as much as she can. Also if you feel like there is nothing to write about, ask people to help you come up with topics. Its ok to ask for help if you need it.
Nominations
This was a tad difficult but at the same time easy to pick out nominations for this award because I personally read these people’s blog posts on the regular. Plus I think they’ll be as excited as I was to receive a blog recognition award.
Check out these blogs if you haven’t already!!!
Thank you so much again Eggandsandwich04 for the nomination of this award I truly appreciate it.
